Matthijs Mulder, Chief Executive Officer
Matthijs has over 25 years experience in the chemical industry, with specific emphasis on frontier and emerging markets. His experience ranges from Trading in the late 80’s with COMECON countries”and China, to resident Managing Director for HCI subsidiaries, the fifth largest chemical distributor globally, in various countries in North and Latin America, Indonesia, West and Central Europe during the 1990’s. When HCI was acquired by Brenntag in 2000, forming the world’s largest chemical distributor, Matthijs founded a new chemical distributor in Romania. Upon sale of this company in 2007 he became Managing Director for the acquirer’s Central European region. The last 25 years yielded him hands-on experience in frontier, emerging as well as mature markets, and with start-ups as well as established chemical distributors and a vast network within the global Chemical Industry.
Graeme Barr, Managing Director (Zimbabwe)
Graeme Barr was previously with AkzoNobel, undertaking pro-environment research and development reflecting European environmental guidelines and cost cutting methods under I.C.I/Akzonobel. Graeme subsequently specialised in bio-fuel technology having a keen interest in cutting edge technology and environmental chemistry. He was also active in the healthcare sector in Europe and the United States. Graeme was contracted by Cambria and successively positioned as General Manager at Millchem in 2011. During his role as General Manager, Graeme incorporated Business Development as a focus and initiated regional trade along with assisting in the diversification strategy and market share growth since early 2011.Graeme holds an Honours Degree in Chemistry University of Surrey following a HNC in Chemical and Pharmaceutical Science from the University of Sunderland.
Celedra Vongayi, Finance Director
Celedra Vongayi has been with Millchem for over seven years, in increasingly senior roles. Prior to this, she was with Pioneer Transport where she worked for three years.
Celedra holds a Bachelor of Accountancy from the University of Zimbabwe.
Vanessa Mpofu, Supply Chain Manager
Vanessa Mpofu was previously with Nestle in Zimbabwe and Kenya, focusing on supply chain management.
Vanessa holds a Bachelor of Engineering Honours degree in Chemical Engineering from National University of Science & Technology (Zimbabwe) and a Diploma in Marketing Management awarded by IMM Graduate School of Marketing (South Africa).
